Bowling on the Green in West Hartford for Over a Century
Fernleigh Lawn Bowling Club is a hidden gem in West Hartford. Since 1923, the club has located on Lancaster Road and is visible behind the parking lot for Butterfly Restaurant. We are a private, non-profit organization. Our charming clubhouse and bowling green are maintained by club members who cherish its history and enjoy the camaraderie of shared efforts.

Lawn bowling is easily learned, but can take years to master. It is played on a rink laid out on a bowling green. The objective of the game is for each player to roll their bowls closer to the target known as the jack. The bowls have a bias that allows you to curve your bowl around the others.
